In addition to our traditional store cupboard essentials Epicure is now developing Creative Cooks, a range of premium quality pre-prepared ingredients to help cooks prepare great food with the minimum of time consuming preparation.

The Epicure brand was registered in 1891 by Petty Wood and Company and quickly built a reputation for quality picked and preserved foods. Epicure has always been innovative being one of the first to import exotic canned fruits and vegetables previously unseen in the UK.

As the market rapidly adapts to the change in consumer demand, tastes and lifestyles Epicure has developed a new range that will enable creative cooks to prepare interesting dishes without some of the time consuming preparation.

The Creative Cooks range is based on premium quality pre-prepared ingredients designed to reduce the peeling, chopping, soaking, boiling and steaming element of cooking, leaving more time for being creative, tasting, seasoning, stirring, drizzling and mixing.

The 20th century gave us convenience with cans and packets – the Creative Cooks range is a natural progression; a source of ideas and products that help make cooking more creative enabling cooks to feed their imagination as well as their family.

With a growing team of 45 dedicated sales staff we cover the UK, ROI and have a fast growing Export business from Europe to the Middle and far East. Our multiples sales force are all blue chip trained. Our depth of coverage across wholesale, cash & carry, convenience and impulse provides the competitive advantage needed to drive penetration of premium brands. This is supported by direct coverage of over 2000 independent outlets across the UK and ROI. This push and pull strategy is replicated across the Foodservice channel where we deal with wholesalers and end users.

We have a first class team of brand managers capable of developing effective brand strategies. They can manage all elements of a brands P&L account, advertising & promotional spend and the entire marketing mix. The trade marketing team develops brochures, sales aids and brand communications in house.

Supply Chain
Our Supply Chain incorporates people, technology, activities, information and resources. All of these from an intricle part of moving our and our Brand Principals products from Supplier to Customer. Including all Logistics Management activities, as well as co-ordinating processes and activities with and across marketing, sales, finance and information technology.

Stock Management
Our Stock Management team is at the forefront of the Supply Chain and have the responsibility of maintaining Petty Wood's stock availabilty to meet our customer's needs and that of the business.
Order Capture
We have a dedicated team who are able to process orders either by Fax, E-mail, EDI and telephone.

Our 60,000 sq/ft warehouse is a high quality, food standard warehouse and has the ability to store in excess of 5,000 pallets. We have 12 loading doors, 11 of which are 'dock levellers' allowing the safe transfer of goods, the last is accessed via a gradual slope giving the team the ability to off load/load from the ground level.

Our experienced team of operators offer a wide range of added value options that include:
•Order Picking
•Palletisation and wrapping
•Third Party Storage
•Container stuffing and de-stuffing
•Product re-working
•Stock checking
Palletised Consignments - our distribution network for palletised goods is made up of strategically placed third party hauliers, many of whom have been working in partnership with Petty Wood for many years.
Non Palletised Consignments - this is a new area of distribution for Petty Wood and has been put into place to service smaller orders.
Export - we have a number of Freight Forwarder partnerships that have access too many European and Worldwide Hauliers, that provides us with a good infrastructure to support the export market.
